Default 2 frame beaver tail fore end sizes

Hey PGCA Members,

I need a little help here. I'm looking for the dimensions of a beaver tail fore end for a 2 frame. looking for length and various widths as it tapers down and the thickness of the piece. I'm trying to make a little storage area for one so I need to know how big to make it. I figure that they are somewhat custom made so any dimensional help I can get will be greatly appreciated. Of course do not own a beaver tail for end yet. Thanks in advance and hope everyone is having a great spring.

Matt

Parker splinter fore ends are fairly predictable. BTFEs are quiet variable.

And then there's the Trap version which by my eye is a little wider yet at the breech end especially.

Matt,
I measured 3 and they are all very close on the height at 1 1/2" at the back and 1" at the front. Here is a picture I traced of outside. I compared a fat one and a skinny one and they were different width at the back by 1/8" but the same at the middle and tip. Hope this helps.
