I like that grip too. I have a "half pistol" VH 12 that I purchased from Russ Jackson, and I shoot it great. Back in my live pigeon shooting days, I always shot a "lightening" configured superposed, and the grip always felt good to me. Nowadays, I'm addicted to straight grip guns.
That is a quintessential Texas bobwhite gun Bruce!! Browning, Ithaca, Fox (brush gun) all produced "upland special" configurations with 24" bbls. I have a Lindner Diamond Quality Daly 20 configured exactly like that gun, except it is a straight grip.

Seems like the engraver added a little extra in the way of background engraving behind the dogs. Really nice gun.
