The chances of your stock being a OO are slim. The serial number is a .410 and 99% of all .410s were OOO frame. Ball grip .410s are very common compared to other gauges. The serialization book gets .410 grips wrong most of the time.

Bill..So why would the wood measurement be "proud" of the frame measurement ? I assume you say this is an OOO stock..right ??

The "0" on the butt plate does not mean it came off an 0 framed gun. That is the butt size. An 0 frame 16 would have a "1" butt, whereas an 0 frame 20 would have an "0" butt.

SO..What size is this stock ?......OOO ? Is that the majority opinion..because of the SN ?..

Hello Jerry , I just now saw your post so ,Sorry if I am a little late ! I just happen to have an old 000 Framed 410 laying around the house here , I measured the receiver directly in front of the stock and it measures 1.598" and directly behind the frame the outside of the wood which is just proud of the metal it measures 1.614" ! This measurment was taken from a digital gauge ,Hope this helps ! Best ; Russ
