Default VHE 2 bbl set for $3K

Short stock, but what's wrong with this gun?

Cyanide colors for one to answer your question. But for the entry fee, that is not really all that big of a deal.

You gotta love listings like this... only a few photos, none of which are of the second barrel set. And nearly no description. If they presented the gun better, they may hae gotten their original price.

Not a short stock with the single trigger. Probably 14" to a front trigger if it existed.

It wouldn't surprise me at all to learn the serial number might actually be 240784

The gun has a few standard Remingtonesque attributes.

I don't think it is going to be a 240xxx gun with Parker Bros on the sides but it does look like LD did the refinish from the case colors. I wonder if the trigger was added at the refinish or if it is original? Are there two forends? If not then perhaps the second set was also an add. Looks like a decent gun.

I have been watching that gun. I think for the money it would make a great shooter and hunting gun. They are even open to an offer. Surprised it has not sold.

Yes, Angel, we know that. Please see Deans comment. 204784 is not in the Serialization Book, Nor are there any records. Therefore it's hard to tell if it Originally came as a two barrel set or not.
