Default Parker Leather Gun Case

Cleaning up a 1926 Parker 12gauge for a friend. The gun has Vulcan Steel barrels and is marked as a number 1 frame size. The gun came unassembled in a leather scabbard type case that seems made for the gun. Does anyone know if the case could be original? I will gladly post pictures as soon as I figure out how to do that. Thanks

Douglass It sounds like you have a leg o mutton case. I've never seen one made by Parker. What may be a more likely scenario is a Parker distributor such as Abercrombie and Fitch may have mated certain guns to cases as they can from the factory. Others with more definitive knowledge may have a more accurate answer for you.

Here are some cases supplied by Parker Bros. but not made by them.
