what barrels wii fit a 12 gauge #1 frame or must barrel frame # match frame #

1/2 frame barrels will fit a #1 frame gun, if you can find a set. Good luck with that.

Thanks Bill so will a 1 1/2 barrel work on a number one frame or does it have to be 1/2

Don't waste your time looking for a 1/2 frame set of barrels. They are far and few between. 1 frame barrels on a 1 frame receiver, 1 1/2 frame barrels on a 1 1/2 frame receiver and so on and so on.

Instead of confusing the OP with the 1/2 frame oddity, lets just stick to the guidline that the frame size has to be matched when looking for compatible barrel sets.

For the number 1 frame size, you could go with 12g, 16g or even 20g. 12g and 16g would be most commonly found. 20g would be rare.
