Default Fore end wood question

Are 1 1/2 frame and 2 frame wood usually the same dimensions? VH grade. Thanks

Yes, The variances in frame sizes are the width. And 1-1/2 and 2 frame are the same width.

As with anything on these guns, there is variation from gun to gun. So even forends are not a guarantee for a perfect fit.

I went through 5 forends on a VHE 12 Gauge before I finally found one that would work and even then it took a little extra work from the gunsmith. Lesson learned.

The Parker Story has a page that gives measurements of frame and forends. I Think it is page 527 but I could be hundreds off.
