Default Never Thought I'd Have a 10 Gauge but...

Sight unseen, a friend was at a flea market today and sent these pics from his cell phone. I asked him to buy it for me, sight unseen except for the poor pictures.

I cant wait to learn the serial number and especially to hold it in hand...

Man those pictures are terrible... I guess that's the best I can expect from a cell phone.

It looks like it has some color, thigger guard still has some blueing and the wood looks very good with not too much wear to the checkering. Now, if the barrels are right I'll feel much better.

IF the barrels are right it will make a fine turkey gun!!

Great find. I agree with you. I am not much of one for the ten bore, but there are some nice ones out there.
Do not worry if the barrels are an issue. Just give me a call.

Dean, try some of Mr. Bell's one ounce loads and you will become a disciple! I have owned only two 10 bore shotguns, but they both threw some awesome patterns at ranges exceeding 40 yards. Sometimes Mr. Grouse has the advantage of seeing you long before you can sneak up on him, and that is where the Mighty Ten comes into play! Enjoy!

Wow Dean, scuplterd Bolsters grade 3? Has what as you state good color on floor one would think the side plates would be good did he say if there was engraving on side plates. I'm excited for you pictures as soon as it showes up. If barrels are border line theres always light black powder loads. Did your friend see what size frame it has?
