Pretty amazing! It looks like so much cotton batting laid out in the valleys.
I have a very similar view from grouse camp in Vt. God treats us to so many natural works of art and all we need to do is open our eyes. .

Nice Gary. What a view you have. This is the view from the University of Alaska Fairbanks looking south four days ago. It's only worth sharing because this is far and away the very best sun dog I have ever seen, and I've seen a LOT of them over the years.

It's absolutely a classic Dean. Anyone who wants a picture of one should snag this one because you will never see a better one, ever. This is what they look like in many of the early 19th and 20th century pen/ink illustrations in old polar exploration books. I have always thought they exaggerated them but I guess not..... well, maybe a little.... but as I always say, "never let the truth stand in the way of a good picture"....
