I believe the NRA is rated as the most powerful lobby in Washington. To get there took having a lot of members and a lot of money. That’s really all that matters in Capital circles. For seven years I worked for a lobby and saw how it worked. I don’t know if the NRA has ever stepped up to help a single member but it has been the wall against those who want to take our guns.

The NRA wishes it was half as powerful as the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.

Somebody has take the bull by the horns, step up and do the work, and just make it happen. Like Craig Larter did to start the Fox Collectors Association. It takes a lot of time, effort and "want to" to do something like that. I certainly don't have it, but I'm thankful for guys like Craig who do.

I liked Shotgunworld, but cannont rejoin because my email address is already in use. However, there is no obvious way to contract the administrator. This has gone on for at least three years. How do I contract the administrator?

Email address? Do you mean screen name? Thought there were never duplicate email addresses

there are not, actually - no duplicate screen names on a particular board either

sounds like Bill was a member at one time - and cannot get back in - maybe another member of that board could contact the admin for him- sounds like he needs a password reset

Whatever it was, email, screen name, I can't sign back in and can't find a way to contact the administrator.

Remington has the Remington Society of America --

I've attended four of their annual seminars over the years and they always have their annual meeting in conjunction with the Winter Las Vegas show. At these events I've usually been able to find at least a couple of members interested in the same things I am!!
I am no longer a member, but the winchester collectors association covers both the 71 and the 12 fairly regularly.
