Default A H E Stock

Made in 1932 the stock fits the letter to a T dimension wise. There are no special notes. Took a look under the trigger guard and the serial and grade numbers match the rest of the gun. It appears less time was taken than usual or is it something else?

Are you referring to the lower grade checkering?

There are examples of other guns like this where a “point pattern” was specified on the order for the checkering. Which was likely the case with yours. In this time there are not order books, so that info would not be available.

Who knows why someone would request that. But it happened.
