David Trevallion wrote an article on the subject of the Parker Reproductions in Shooting Sportsman just a few issues back - less than a year for certain.

Very informative.

Dean are you referring to this, the SHOOTING SPORTSMAN Jan/Feb 2019 issue, where David Trevallion, one of the most knowledgable and a highly respected stockmaker of best guns in the world wrote "Parker Reproduction guns were in every respect equal - if not superior - to the originals"?

Yup, that’s it. I thought it was more recent... my how time flies.

David tells me there may be a follow up to that.

There are a couple or more unengraved A-1 Specials on gunsinternational right now. In my opinion, they are the best buy in Repros. Unfortunately, they are competing with some very nice original Parkers in the same price range.

These are left over new A-1 specials that were intended to be for custom grade guns. The custom grade guns were engraved stateside by Goeffory Gournet.

These guns had finished wood and all metal was in the white, ready for engraving.

There are still a good amount of them around today, mostly in 12g.

I have collaborated with Geoffroy on finishing a number of these over the last 5 years. Maybe 6-8 of them.

I currently have one in the works for myself too.
