My deepest condolences for Roger and I hope that he somehow pulls through. Roger is one of our long time characters and a Parker enthusiast. He and his buddy Jack came with us to South Dakota quite a few years ago and enjoyed themselves and the food.
An image I hold of Roger is him with his custom stock comb of cardboard and duct tape. God be with you, Roger. |

Our friend Charles Roger Giles has gone across the river to rest in the shade.
He will be missed by all that knew him. A fine man and a fine shot, his like is not often found in this world and we are less for his passing.

It seems lately that we are losing too many friends. God bless Roger's family and may he be in a better place where the birds are flying and the weather is perfect. RIP Rodger.

Thanks Destry, for keeping us informed about Roger's health situation and now, his passing.
Roger was a very colorful man and a friend to many, and from what I hear, a lot of fun to spend time with. My prayers are for his Anita and his family and friends. Again we are diminished. |

I'll look for him on the other side of the river when my time comes to make that trip. I'm sure he'll have a good squirrel woods found and a bottle of scotch on stash to share.
He was game to the last. A few days ago, when he was still somewhat vocal, we had our final good talk. He wanted recent skirt chasing tales and a report on this springs duck hatch, happily I was able to supply both in abundance. Anita his wife said that he wanted to be cremated and that they were going to have a memorial service sometime in the near future once everything settled down a bit.
