Doubling is a real pain in the butt. Often takes several trips to the gunsmith to get fixed. My Super Fox has that problem now

Default Doubling

Had my DH 10 double on me while hunting ducks in a layout blind, when I regained my wits all I saw was stars and feathers from the incoming mallard that received both charges.
Worn sear was culprit, bit of stoning and all good.

Happened first time out with my big brother with Parker VH 20 gauge. Dove on a pipeline and me with fingers on BOTH triggers! First shot went under pipe and second over. Dove flew away and THEN brother told me to NEVER use but one finger on triggers. More embarrassed than scared, but it has never happened again on any of three Parkers or two double rifles, all with double triggers.

Default 3" Mag Double

I have had it happen a few times over the years with various guns. I usually shoot lighter loads for targets so usually not to bad. However there was the time in SD on a pheasant hunt years ago with a Win M-21 20 gauge Magnum (30", F/F, 3" chambers) when I was shooting 3" Remington Nitro Pheasant loads with 1 1/4 of #5. Doubled on me twice and it got my attention both times. Time to swap guns out !
