12 gauge, 26" barrels, single trigger, it will take a certain customer to become enamoured.

Yes, this is an unfinished A-1 that was finishing plainly with just case color and bluing.

I have worked on a couple of these guns with Gournet (my work consisted of rust bluing and assembly as well as coordinating case coloring with turnbull). Those guns were also gold inlaid, but this one is not. The wood and finish and checkering on this one are right in line with the quality of the other few guns that i worked on.

For what thise unfinished A-1s sells for, this gun is a priced very well.

IMHO, a 26" 12 bore is a tough sell. I agree with Bill.

It seems nobody wants 26 inch now and back in the days of 1980-1990 or even before, people were cutting 30 inch tubes to make them 26 inch, go figure.

Default Odd Reproduction

Ok Fellows here is the info I got from the seller of the A1 Special that has no engraving. It is a single set of barrels that are marked IC and Mod 26" long. The gun was case colored and not engraved. There is only 1 set of barrels . Hope this helps

It might make a good grouse gun.

Richard, I assume you did not do the case coloring. Thanks for the information.
