Default “All” numbers match

A Parker with all numbers matching is one sign of an original gun. Typically that statement is verified with a look at the barrel lug, forend iron, trigger bow and frame. But there are many more locations where the full serial number or the last three or four digits of that number can be found stamped in the metal or wood. The three digits can also be seen written in pencil on the back of a butt plate. Check my album 85805 to see many locations. I did not remove the butt plate or disassemble the forend but will add pics of differently numbered guns showing the numbers on the forend wood lock lever and tumbler and the back of a DHBP. Cheers Jack

I think that’s the list alright. Couple more pics. I’m leaving well enough alone on the forend and butt plate for 85805. It is 122 years young and I don’t want to risk wood splinters on the tight fitting parts on the forend wood. Will add pics until the whole list is illustrated. Cheers Jack

Two more for the list. The unhooking pin and the trip. Also add extractor

I'll say it again: the life membership is worth the price of admission(!) I sure like posts like this one.

Well sometimes you don’t want to know but you find out anyway. “Almost” all numbers match. In this gun’s history, the original cocking hook was replaced. Oh well, there’s a few roosters this fall for whom that little difference won’t matter. Cheers Jack
