Those are nice chokes for shooting clays and hunting over pointing dogs. They won't ruin the meat!!

Very glad to see that gun surface in good hands and know, after some time and effort (and more than a couple of $$), it'll be back in the field. What a beautiful reminder of what "Made in the USA" used to mean. Looking forward to the journey! Thanks, Brian.

looking at that stock repair again made me think. what an awful day it must have been for the owner when the gun slipped. The repair would serve as a constant reminder of the terrible misfortune.

Things are moving well actually. Brian Dudley is gonna handle this project. What we decided to do:

Relay a new rib as the current rib was bead blasted and lost its luster, Brian ironically had the perfect replacement with length and script although it needed quite a bit of fitting. Of course the barrels will be refinished.

Replace the stock, the replacement blank was selected from something Brian had access to, I have asked to save the original F/A which Brian thinks will be fine.

Brian has found a suitable pattern that will fit my upland needs in dimensions. The original stock, in poor shape, will stay as it is.

Brian is going to retime screws and replace as necessary as needed.

Hopefully some time in 2024 the gun will be ready to roll. This will be my “shooter” AAHE for hunting ;-)

Here is one pic, Brian added a few below.

The pattern stock all made up, next to the original stock, next to the blank that will be used.

A really beautiful AA. I would look into having the gun restocked by a Parker expert. I do not give out names, but the bride needs a wedding dress! A beautiful gun for sure!
