Default Ithaca 20

Wondering what the group feels about how common Ithaca Flues 20's are with 30" barrels?

In the early years of the Ithaca Flues Model, 20-gauge doubles were cataloged with 24-, 26- and 28-inch barrels. From 1919 through the last Flues era catalog in 1925 Ithaca Gun Co. only offered 26- and 28-inch 20-gauge barrels. That said, we've seen enough long barrel Ithaca Flues Model small bores to know they built what the customer ordered.

Turns out this gun is a Lewis or Minier? Hard to tell from photos, by either one made my decision, especially with the 30" tubes.

The Ithaca 20s are very nice guns. I have a Ithaca NID 20 gauge, grade 4E that is the only non-Parker gun I own. It is about 90%. I am going to be listing here for sale in the next week or two. I love it but it just doesn't get along with my Parkers.

Turns out they were pretty nice guys, but they are a “black gun” shop. Said he tested the bore by comparing a shell to the muzzle! He paid the return shipping immediately, and returned all of my money.

By the way, in the back of my mind I knew it was too good true, but then I still believe in jolly ‘ol St. nick! Used the money to buy Thomas’ 16 bore Elsie!
