Default DR 16 wads

I spoke with Kevin of DR last Friday concerning the DRXXL 7/8 oz, 12 wad and also the 16. He said he had just completed a large run of the DR 16 and they were “on the loading dock” to ship to a mid west supplier. He would not tell me who, call in three weeks, but that was the first of several scheduled runs for suppliers. Hopefully we should see the 16 on various web sites in the next months or so. Keep our fingers crossed.

If I was a betting man I'd bet that truck stops at Recob's.It was the only place I could order some from a few years back when they were not available anywhere.Another 16 gauge JFYI the new Winchester and Herters 16 gauge ammo fired hulls measure 2 5/8" and are available in a 1165 fps 1 oz load.May be an option with some guns. Also the new Aguila 16 gauge fired hulls also measure 2 5/8" but a little hotter at 1200 fps.Jeff Sweeter.

Here is an option for 16 gauge reloads.I had this tested at Precision. Its smoking fast, not necessary but pressure is pleasant.I would drop the powder charge down to 14 grains in once fired hulls. Jeff

If there is any interest, Recobs has them as of 1 hour ago

went online this am at Graf's and they listed 1 case of 5K wads avail. Added it to cart. went thru all their hoops and hurdles on ordering with everything a go... only to have it pop up on very last page " Not in stock. No backorders".
Quite upsetting since this message was only after I entered all payment info , which is now in their possession and no order. You would think a site like this would be a little more updated. Only adds to the reasons not to buy anymore DR wads. just my opinion. others may vary.
