Default Shot Acquired!

After patiently waiting for months, I walked into Cabelas today and they had a whole shelf of beautiful 25# bags of shot. I bought two bags of #8 which is more than I will likely need for years, but at least I now have it. Happy Friday!

I left Mike’s on 8/1/21 with 53 bags of shot on my truck . Granted it wasn’t all for me , but almost half was . I’m into the 8th or 9th bag already after almost a month and a half .

Prices as of last week here in eastern PA: at a distributor, Spartan $40./bag plus tax, limit 5 bags. A large more local gun shop has same at $48/bag + tax. I don't know what the limit is at the gun shop. West Coast brand hard shot has just about dried up hereabouts..

I paid $47.99 per bag. Made by Eagle Shot, magnum lead shot made in Peru.

I was seeing pricing at $45-50 online. I recently came into about 8-10 bags that I quickly sold to local shooters at $40 a bag. They all seemed to think the price was great.

The local sporting clays range here is getting $52.99 plus tax a bag . The largest Gunshop in the area is getting $55.99 plus tax from my latest update . Granted it wouldn’t have been worth it for me to drive to Rock Mountain just for shot , but since I was going to be there for his shoot might as well save a few dollars over the price down here . Might even see if I can get a load together for January and drive up one Friday or Saturday and shoot Rock Mountain as well .
