Default Parker Reproduction Choke Patterns

I don’t recall a thread generically showing choke patterns that can be expected from the Parker Reproductions. Maybe this thread will provide a point of reference for such and, I hope other forum members will share their patterns using various chokes.

The following patterns were not intended to determine the best ammo for any particular application, nor were there any follow-up shots taken to seek any sort of average. Further, I did not count pellets. These are just quick shots at a pattern sheet using Winchester AA’s. As the pictures will depict, I did provide reference to what a pattern will look like with a shot from both barrels using the IC/MOD barrel.

As you will see, IMO, the PR 28ga’s throw some pretty nice patterns and a shot from both barrels is certain to be effective as demonstrated by Kansas in the fifth picture. I regret not taking a photo of the Q1/Q2 barrel set after shooting with both barrels..maybe next time.

Edited to add: the pattern sheets are 30" x 30" and all shots were taken at 16 yards.

First gun is a 28 ga. 2-barrel set with Q1/Q2 chokes & IC/MOD chokes.

Here’s a pattern from my 28ga repro using the Q1 choke .004 at 18yds using new Winchester AA Supersport load of 3/4 - 7 1/2. These shells pattern great from both barrels.

I wanted to see and put on paper what a Spred-R disc did through my 28ga. Repro's FULL (.034 constriction) choke at 15 paces and compare that to the same load w/o a Spred-R disc. So I loaded up a few shells with the Spred-R disc on top of the shot. Yes, the disc is a somewhat snug and tight fit in the AA hull, but as Martha Stewart would say "That's a good thing!" I used my standard Sporting Clays load for comparison:

* AA compression formed hull
* W209 primer
* 12.9gr Universal Clays
* CB1075-28 wad
* 3/4 oz. #8 magnum shot
* 1200 FPS
* 10,800 PSI*

* It has been estimated that the addition of a Spred-R disc results in less than a 500 PSI increase in pressure.

The first pic below is the pattern at 15 paces with the Spred-R disc. It resulted in a 19" pattern spread. The second pic is a same load, but w/o the disc. This load resulted in only a 10" maximum spread at the same 15 paces.
