Interestingly people in the country used to hid valuables in the john, take a string tied to a gunny sack and hang them down the john hole. People are always asking if they can dig around some of the old homesites on the property here. One had the john standing until a few years ago a tree fell on it and crushed what was left of a two holer! This would be a great photo story.Caption could read " View from the hole"

one night one of our soilders got drunk and fell off into one of those honey wells he sure did not find any gold and lord when he came into the hutch we slept in we could not sleep for the smell we gave him a shower clothes and all...yep there s gold in them there hills...charlie
