Just making my way through this excellent issue of PP. Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but a special congratulations to Dean Romig on his “Charlie Price Literary Award”. Dean will agree, most have no idea what it takes to edit and publish the Parker Pages. A well deserved award to you, Dean, along with Mike Franzen on his award as well.

And a nice job to Mills on your book review article. I’m a big fan of AR and correspond with Jim Casada often. Jim is the last of a special breed. I have had the honor and privilege of handling Archibald’s Parker shotgun that was given to him by his students that he used for his turkey hunting (all his hunting, actually). It is still in the family’s possession, thank goodness. What a memorable day that was for me.

I remember your review of his other book and that partly inspired this article.

I should have emphasized that Rutledge probably used his Parker in all of these stories.

Also, in addition to being a good Rutledge anthology, it is a great Turkey hunting book in its own right

Parker Pages made it to my house today. Congratulations also to Mike Franzen and John Truitt on their awards. Nice picture of the ladies. I know Margaret enjoys being and working with Deb and Kathy.

I’m glad it finally did make it to your mailbox. However, I believe it should have been there two weeks ago.
