Default Thanks and New Toy

Thanks to all who have generously shared their knowledge and good advice while gently schooling me on Parker Repros!

Just thought I’d share that I found a DHE/SSS in very nice condition at a local mom and pop gun shop. Features are straight grip, btfe, double triggers, 28 in IC/Mod barrels, 7lb, 14 1/8 in stock.

I prefer a pistol grip and it’s way too short for me. It was priced right, however and I went ahead and bought it with plans to sell or re-stock it. I picked it up yesterday and decided to try it out, just for the heck of it. With a slip on pad it's actually shootable and now I don’t think I can bring myself to sell it. I guess I’m on the hunt for another Parker.

That’s the ultimate 12 bore field gun! Hang on to that beauty. A very scarce configuration. 20 bore repros weigh almost as much!

That’s a wonderful configuration. And those chokes are perfect for a field gun or on the SC or Skeet fields.

That is not the configuration and wood quality of a Repro that many people would part with. That is why such a gun does not appear on the market very often. They are mostly kept in collections.

You will most certainly like it. My IC/Mod chokes measure .006/.012, more like skeet/lt. Mod. It is a wonderful combination for just about anything as you have already found out. Congrats on a nice gun.

You knocked it out of the park, Brett. Congrats on a great find (and a smart move to act on it).
