Hi All, I came across this 1887 12 gauge. Any idea what it is worth?

Thanks for your help.

Pit it on gunbroker with a penny start. At the end, that is what it is worth.

Default Parker Help

[QUOTE=Bill Murphy;332445]Sweet.[

I haven't bought it yet, but was interested in a ballpark figure. I love old SxS
but this would be my first Parker. Any idea$ or cautions would be helpful.

Thank You

The primary caution would be the barrels, if they have been compromised and the wall thickness needs to be very accurately measured and check to see if the chambers have been lengthened. On a 1-frame 12 like that one original chamber length is an absolute must.

Can you give me the name and number of a respected gunsmith in North Carolina/Virginia whom I could consult regarding evaluating this gun. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

Mark Nelson
