As of right now the Fall Southern is on at Backwoods Quail Club in Hemmingway, SC. All info is on Backwoods Quail Club.com. I am a member and shoot there weekly. The Fall Southern is a fun event. If you enjoy shooting sporting clays this is a good event to take part in. There are two clays courses, five stand, and usually other games available. Any questions feel free to contact me.

He's talking about the Fall Classic at Backwoods Quail Club in Georgetown, SC. Usually each year in October. I haven't checked to see if it is on for this year but my bet would be yes. However, the owner/manager, Rick H., worked together each fall with Bill Kempffer to put it on. I think I read that Bill is no longer in charge of the Spring Southern, so I dunno.

It's always been a great shoot. Rick is a master target-setter and range manager. I have never found fault with the way he runs a shoot in any way.

I've always enjoyed the S x S events the major NSCA shoots, like the state championships, regional shoots and the U S Open.

Oops, didn't mean to repeat previous information shared.

Backwoods is in Georgetown SC, great course nice people. Rick Hemingway who owns Backwoods sets the Parker Smith Challenge targets.

COVID has things set back. My guess Rick will have some information at the Spring SXS . Target and course It has been my favorite event.

Does the Fall SxS have similar format with venders, guns, itemsfor sale and tents as well as the shooting activities?

I talked to Rick last weekend at the Spring Classic SxS. He said the Fall Classic will be held in October. This is always a great shooting event. Hope you can attend.

Opportunities to look at and purchase guns are much less at the fall event than at the spring event, but the shooting is as good or better. Rick H. is a good friend of ours and a great guy.

Sounds like there's a better chance to get out without breaking the bank.Deep River is great fun but always gets expensive if you keep looking the guns over.
Look forward to it.
