Default How is your Morning going?

This is my 9 year old Tri color Brittany Luci (The Flash!).
She did a great job tracking down these two this morning!
The gun is a 1901 VH 20 gauge, factory ordered with a straight grip D grade stock with Skeleton butt.
RST Copper #6 got it done today!

Fine looking dog! And a very interesting 20 gauge. I would love to see some better pics of the gun! I love Parker 20s.

Default Parker VH 20

Here are some pictures with the letter.
In my research, I conclude that Mr. Carr was a young boy when he received this gun.
It was returned in 1902 to "Fit new butt" for a charge of .50 cents?
In looking at the numbers in the stock you can see where the number has been overstamped. The "old" number goes back to a 16 gauge gun made in 1897 that research shows as a D grade.
My theory is that this was a "Take off stock" that was offered to Mr. Carr for a discounted price.
The gun now has a 14" LOP with a 2 1/2"drop.
It weighs 6lb 3 oz.
Research has Mr. Carr as a Commissioner to a Supreme court Judge.
My guess is that not many people refused permission to Mr. Carr if he wanted to hunt their property! LOL!
This gun Hammers birds!

I've seen some great Parker orders, but this one is one of the best.

You're morning went better than mine! The Flash looks happy standing over those birds. Good shooting and that gun really nice...a 20 ga D grade is on my list of must haves.

Thank you! Actually the gun is a VH Grade but was sent back to the factory in 1902 for the D grade stock.
