Default New pocket camera....

After 5 years or so of banging around on various hunts and trips, the Olympus Stylus pocket camera is getting worn down....Soooo from the camera buffs what is your recommendation for a pocket camera that takes quality pics....

You will have a hard time finding a better point and shoot camera than the one found in an iPhone.

Admittedly the IPhone has some great capabilities...Yet even they are not the equal of the one I currently have that is starting to fade mechanically....

I use my iPhone most of the time, but when it's a shot that has to be right, I use either of my two pocket cameras. The Nikon is older and agreat camera, with an accessory filter attachment. I bought the Canon, because there was an available underwater case, which wasn't available for the Nikon.
I have an App on my phone that connects with the Canon, and stores every picture taken.

The picture of the Canon was taken with the Nikon, and vice versa.

I phone 11 pro is better than my stylus ever was, even in shallow under water.

Sony seems to be the hot brand right now. Lots of pros are dumping their Canon, Nikon, or Fijifilm for the new Sony mirrorless cameras.

Perhaps the iPhone 11 can do better, but the 8 I have doesn't come close to the 5 year old Stylus....Throw in the telephoto capabilities of the Sony Rx100 VII and the iPhone can't keep up....
