Default #3 Frame 12ga hammer gun

I have a 12ga #3 frame grade 3 hammer gun, I know that #3 frames were common on hammerless guns but can not remember seeing a hammer 12ga with a 3 frame comments please.

I didn't know they were out there, Gary. What variation, check hook, lifter, top lever? Measure the firing pin separation to insure that the gun is correctly marked.

I am not good at determining what is uncommon and not. But I would seem to think there are quit a few #3 frame lifter and top lever guns going around in 10 gauge.
A # 3 frame top lever or lifter 12 would seem to be a less than common variation.

Mr. C,
Check your Parker Pages from 2006 or 2005. There is a #3 frame 12 ga 32" lifter mentioned in the article about the Southern Side by Side from that year.
Yours is only the second #3 frame 12ga hammer gun I have heard about.

Default Three Frame 12ga Lifter

The three frame 12 ga lifter gun is mine; 104043. It has 32 inch barrels "P" stamped on the water table and weighs 10 pounds. It is chambered 2 7/8 inches. I shot it at the Southern a few years ago, and occassionally shoot five stand with it. It id amazingly nimbe for its size.

Best, Austin
