Default 10 Ga. Trap

Okay guys ,here goes ,I would like opinions on this Hammer Gun ,I recently acquired ,this gun ,Serial #27425, I beleive this gun to be a very early Double Barreled 10 Ga. Trap Gun . On Page 392 ,Volume 1 ,TPS ,The book shows H & D Folsom ,New York order a special run of Trap guns from Parker Bros. ,The guns are mostly 10 Ga. guns w/ a slightly higher Rib and a special Butt treatment with a Flying Pigeon instead of the standard Dogs Head ! I recently have purchased what appears to be ," Possibly " one of these " Rare " guns ,in TPS ,it says at the time of Printing ,none of these guns have ever been found or even seen . Since publication ,have any of you Gentlemen seen any of these guns ? Does any one else have one ? Pictures will follow ,just haven't had time to take any yet ! My guns date is a little earlier than " THE Folsom " order ,but I thought it possible they may have used up some guns that were in house , Any Ideas ?? I ordered a Letter last week and am looking forward to its arrival ,although ,TPS says there wasn't very much documentation to these guns ! Russ

Several of the guys on the forum have them, there's been quite a few discussion threads in relation to them and pics of the buttplates posted. I had one years ago, it was my first Parker actually.

I'm sure somebody will point you towards a thread where all that information came out. I never paid big time attention because I didn't have mine anymore and hadn't for years.

You know ,Ive been hanging around here a while and missed this ,must not have been paying enough of attention ,the gun is nice for as old as it is ,I like unique items and figured this may be out of the ordinary ! Nice Butt Plate also, worn as it should be but still in nice shape !

Hi Dave ,I have her cleaned up nice and it is a lot nicer than it first appeared ,I realized the time table but am hoping the gun was in house unsold and my letter will show that H & D Folsom purchased the gun from Parker in the correct period !Everything looks good ,even the rib seems a little higher than some and the Butt Plate is correct ! The Gun isn't the same as the serialization book ,the book shows ,Capped pistol grip ,this gun has a Ball Grip and the book says 30" Lam. Barrels and the guns barrels are 32 ! I am looking forward to the letter ,all #'s match including the # on the stock under the Trigger Guard !
