Default Grandson Jack's first Shotgun

I have a Grandson that has been admiring my Parkers and is today enrolled in his hunter education course. Jack is 11 yrs. old and is all excited about receiving his first shotgun.I bought a J.C. Higgins 20 ga. and had a local gal do a little wood burning on the stock and as you can see he is quite happy about the way it turned out. It is not to long before hunting season and I can't wait to take him on his first hunt with his own double. I told him that when he can prove himself and keep up his grades he will be able to hunt with a Parker in a year or so.Thomas

Very well done Thomas!

A neat little SXS was sent here from Michigan a few days ago for my grandson Cam.
It is a gift from "Roger", the best friend of (my counterpart) his other grandfather.
Roger's wife had passed away three years ago and she used to shoot clays thrown by Roger, with this little gun off her back deck. It was a very kind gesture - much like the kind gesture you made to your grandson!
It's a great way to get these kids involved in the shooting sports.

50 years from now that will still be his favorite gun. He'll tell everybody who asks that his Grandad gave it to him when he was 11. Hell then go on recount the adventures the two of you had with that gun. His grand kids will cherish it as well.

I think back of how excited I got and couldn't sleep the night before opening day of duck season and now I have reason to do the same. Thomas
