Default Another foto Sunday

Went back up to my favorite ridge to work on shooting again. 70+ deg so pretty brutal but I made it through the day. I even hit some today, which was a big improvement. There's a slim chance that I might figure this shotgunning thing out afterall. I included a pan of what it looks like to the north. The mtns are to the south. The taller ones in the top pic are in the 13,000ft+ range. What a great place to shoot! I'll be up here a lot this summer.

Sounds like big fun Gary. I love putting large lead projectiles downrange through old long bbld guns. I have three Winchester .45-90's and two .45-70's. There was a guy a that Denver range a couple of years back that was shooting a .40-70 Sharps, a Uberti or something, that had the long brass scope on it and shot paper patch bullets. He was ringing the steel turkey at 485 yds no problem. Very impressive. I've not printed my .45-90 Hi Wall for over 200yds(3" groups) yet but now have the right mould for the more appropriate 300gr bullets vs the 400's I use in the .45-70's and will try longer range with those. The big bullets sure put a moose down with authority.

I shoot at several scenic ranges but yours takes scenic to a whole new level - and you get to fly there to boot!!
