If i am not mistaken, ithaca blued their guards and FE irons on all model and grades of doubles.

Looks blued to me in picture No. 6. But, the forearm iron is clearly color case hardened. The nine Ithaca doubles I own and most all of the pictures I've collected off the internet show blued forearm irons.

I have an Ithaca 4E 16 NID, the trigger guard is blued, not sure about the fore end iron--I think it is blued also. Just shot it Friday at Hausmann's
