Default 12 backpacker load

I believe it was Harry Collins who gave me one year's ago. I need Pheasant load for me old border line unsafe barreled lifter. Shot it a bunch so I render it safe especially with black powder. The only smokeless loads I've shot is that 1 oz lite loads. with 55 construction in choke it does the job if your on. Backpacker spellchecker did it. black powder load.

warm weather - garden hose.

cold weather - I hold the barrels near the shower head in the shower. Tub will get dirty but rinses away easy....

next....brush and clean with Ballistol.

as I'm doing that I'm boiling water on the stove. I get a funnel and pour the hot water into each barrel. This does a clean water rinse and the hot water heats the barrels burning off any condensation. Oven mit to hold barrels is necessary.....

next... oil the bores.

next.... reload more shells.

My gun is well used so I am not quite as efficient, Charlie. There way is very good. I just use hot water on old piece of tee-shirt wrapped around a 12 gauge brush 5 or so times till clean, then a couple dry ones when good and dry, tee-shirt oily patch down barrels couple times, wipe gun with oily patch when done with barrels. I believe the mercury primers were a lot harder on the barrels than the black? but don't get me wrong you need to keep clean! ch
