Default Minnesota duck opener

The 16 Parkers did there magic on the ducks today. Jim Beilke carrying his 16 Trojan doubled on wood ducks and I doubled on Blue wing teal with my 16 vh. We had a great hunt and had a fun morning.

Excellent shooting, guys! Save some ducks and send them South so we'll have some shooting in Missouri.

The following day we had near the same success, however, we were humbled by our poor shooting as it took many more shells for the same number of ducks. Such is duck hunting, about the time you have it figured out nothing works.

I shot this trophy bull canvasback and green wing teal with this new to me 16 trojan that I purchased from a fellow member recently. I was shooting hand loaded 1 1/8oz ITX #4 shot. Thanks for a great gun Mike. It seems to shoot straight.
