Very nice and with 28 inch barrels to boot. It just doesn't get any better. I sold a GHE 20ga skeet gun with 28 inch barrels in a moment of stupidity. Don't fall into that trap with this beauty.

Hopefully I won't Rich, however my propensity to stupidity is sometimes linked directly to my desire for some other treasure that captures my fancy.

After acquiring this piece several years ago, I sold a VHE 12ga 26" SKEET that was 100% correct but lacked the condition of this gun. After reading the chapter on Parker Skeet guns I'm starting to believe that another gun I possess is also a Skeet gun. It is a VHE 20ga two barrel set 26" & 30" barrels with beaver tails, straight stock with checkered butt and Parker single trigger and is also in the 239XXX number range. My research letter on it didn't say anything about it being a Skeet gun but did confirm the extra barrels. The Parker story says they derived the tally for Skeet guns by observing the characteristics as listed in the stock books and IBM cards. Their chart of Skeet guns says that a certain number were fitted with extra barrels. Looking back now, I wish I had held on to the 12ga VHE Skeet. It would have made this an interesting little collection of skeet guns.

Default GHE 16

Spectacular parker, No reinforced lug on the barrel which is odd and we can only guess it was ordered and it was as is besides the forend. Any insight is always welcome.

P.s. If you get bored of it I have a little stable of straight stocks the if will thrive in.

Lucky guy and great parker.

Thanks Pat!
It does however have a reinforced forearm lug and the beavertail is mentioned in the research letter so it is just as it was made.
