Default Dove and my 20 gauge GH in the morning.

Looking forward to sneaking out at 0 dark 30 without waking up the wife, and to the whistle of wings and the smell of the 2 1/2 paper shells. Things are set aside in the garage. Not even sure where I will go yet, but I have a few places that usually pay off. I am taking a few back up guns I want to try out, but the 20 gauge GH with twist barrels I hope will bring me luck. I have yet to get a Doubles pin, due to the fact when I shot doubles I was not using a Parker. That I hope will change this year. Best of luck to those going out in the morning, and be safe.
Good shooting Phil

Good luck on the doubles pin, I think that would be quite an achievement on Doves. A GHE damascuss 20 will be in the Grouse coverts this fall. I have never had a double on them.

Not many Grouse in AZ good luck with the Grouse and your 20. AZ has only a few places to hunt Grouse. I was lucky and took a double ( Both in the air) thanks to my pointer on the 2 and 3rd grouse I ever shot. After it was all over I could have kicked myself. My 20 gauge Parker was also in the truck. Once again I missed a pin. I took 3 and my brother took 1 out of a large group of about 10 birds.

I might be able to get a double monday if they're flying well !

I have decided now to take my Fox A grade 16 and a Parker GH 16 damascus .

Was planning on taking a pair of Superposed 20 gauges but I didn't feel like loading shells and already had some 16's on the shelf for the Parker and a few old boxes of plastic factory loads for use in the Fox !

Had to settle for the 9. Here are a few pictures of my set up with some decoys around a tank, and my MOJO dove in front of me. Picture of guns and birds pretty bad. LC Smith 20 2E, Parker GH 20, and a Skeet Special 12 by LC Smith choked Skeet and Light Full.

That looks like fun. Opening day is tomorrow, but my first invitation is next Saturday. Looking forward to the opening of bird season
