Need help determining value of a double barrel, hammers, under lifter, 40" Damascus barrels. What type of numbers or markings should I look for and where can I find those markings?

Welcome, Ross. Please go to the home page and click on the left sidebar "Parker Identification". You will find a wealth of information thereabout. In short order you should have a better handle on the basics of what your gun is and someone will be able to answer any specific questions you may have.
Please post some pictures of your gun. A lot of folks will want to see it.

1878 according to serial #11941. Twist barrels 30". Back action lifter. 12ga. Missing firing pin on right and also the hammer on the right will pull back and catch but is not the same as the left which has more tension and will release if trigger is pulled. So, needs some work. Otherwise looks complete/nothing else missing or broken. Serial numbers all match.
Regards, RM

Welcome Ross, I am in Pa. also, Hellertown. The FP is an easy fix, sounds like the lock on the right needs a bit of a tune up. Depending on barrel condition, could be a shooter.

Nice lifter gun, but what happened to the 40" barrels? Many of our members shoot lifter guns and will give you advice.

It's not a back action, it's a front action.
