Default Dugout....

A friend of mine has been working for months on an old time dugout pirogue boat. He's finished it and done the official christening. Here's a link to the video, you may have to be a Facebook member to view it. Not Parker related, but just a great piece of vintage style work.

very cool -

although sub titles might have helped in a couple spots bon ami

i think it was Nash Buckingham who said when you are in a pirogue, don't change your mind or shift your chewing gum

I applaud his handiwork but for me, an Old Town canoe would be preferred and safer or perhaps more stable.

Jim,

Those are beautiful little craft you've built. I have a love affair with Barnegat Bay Sneak Boxes. Yours are just like the originals.

I built a barneget bay duck boat with Jim and it is a great boat to hunt out of and one of the most sea worthy duck boats I have ever hunted out of. I would recommend one to any serious duck hunter.
