I have been using a 700 for coffee every morning for about 12 years. Thanks to Allan Swanson for making a new oak base for it. I fine the 700's are much easier to grind coffee with as they are heavy and don't move around (like Charlie's little 200). I have several of the smaller ones but the 700 is the best if you intend to use it.
Most of the 700's have lost the lids. I had some lids made over 10 years ago for the 700. The were made from aluminum. When painted they work well. If anyone has any interest, let me know. Mark |

Mark,
I would love to see a picture of your 700 if you have one. For those who may have missed it Dave S. posted this pic earlier of coffee mills on display at the PGCA table at Vintagers this year. |

Allan made both bases for me over 10 years ago. I think I'll make a cup of coffee. Mark |

Mark,
I am missing half a lid on my Chas. Parker 700 coffee grinder( I am quite sure it is a "700" by the photos I've seen.). Do you still have available the aluminum lids. I would obviously want to purchase the whole top that you have had manufactured. Regards, Nathan T. Lowe (509) 354-8036 |

Nathan, if you are missing the entire top, you are out of luck. Mark had the removeable half of the 700 top made. If your wheels are 17" in diameter, you most likely do have a #700.

John, if you teach Charlie how to post pictures, you may want to add more memory to this website. BTW, mills not grinders.
