Default Winter 2016 Parker Pages Deadline Looming

Just a reminder that October 15 is the submission deadline for articles and stories to be included.

We would really like to have more technical articles as we have had in the past. This is not to say that we don't want hunting and shooting stories - quite the contrary, we need those too.

Please contact me if you need any guidance or help with your contribution - I am more than happy to assist in any way.

Please pay special attention to page 27 of the Fall 2016 Issue regarding pictures accompanying your contribution - size really does matter... as well as focus and clarity.
I crop most of the pictures that we publish in order to bring the subject matter closer to the viewer. In so doing, unless the picture is of high quality and fine resolution, it is like 'zooming in' and some fineness is sacrificed in the process.

Thanks in advance for your excellent contributions gents!

Dean

Thanks Brian - Don't rush it. If we need to put it in a 2017 issue that's OK.

We are low on material for the Winter Issue at this point.

Please, for those who are working on articles or stories, remember that the deadline is October 15 - just ten days away. If you need my assistance on anything please contact me.

Thanks Very Much,
Dean

does it has to be about parkers only? I have a pair of James Purdey SBTs that has a great history behind them. Let me know and I will send it off.

Thanks very much Frank - I appreciate the offer but yes, Parker Pages material has to pertain to the subjects of collecting, shooting, or hunting with Parkers.

It seems by your description, that your Purdey article would be well suited for the pages of The Double Gun and Single Shot Journal. You should contact Daniel Cote, Editor and publisher of that fine magazine.

Regards, Dean

I plan on putting something together hopefully pretty soon. I would like to share my experience with the little 2 bbl set Remington DHE 20, that I have posted a few pics of.
"The Doctor's Gun". Stay tuned.

I've just received word that the Winter Issue is slated to be delivered in one shipment to the USPS on Wednesday November 23. It is a good full issue and I thank each and every one of the contributors for making this issue a success. We had hoped the majority of Members would have Parker Pages in hand over the long Thanksgiving weekend but it appears that is not to be. Apologies to all.

Dean
