Default The Lost Decoy

This is my latest engraving done on an etching press...I always start off with some sketches in pen & ink.

When I was growing up around the Chesapeake Bay, there was a story (can't vouch for it) that after a lifelong duck hunter died, he was cremated, and some of his ashes were put in a small vial, and the vial was inset in the bottom of a decoy, and a brass plate was screwed on saying something like "Here are the last remains of Mr.XXX. If you find this decoy, please let it continue to float in the waters he loved". Talk about a lost decoy

I've told my family to scatter my ashes in front of Blind 15 and Mermet Lake. I wouldn't mind spending eternity in that place....
