Default Double stamping / misstamping ?

Someone sent me this picture recently . I was curious about the double or miss stamping of the patent info .

We’ve seen similar overstamps before on that area of the water table where patent dates normally are seen.

Not at all Craig. It’s not common but it happened with a somewhat fair level of frequency.

I have even seen double rolled makers marks on ribs. As well as serial numbering double stamps and corrections. It happens. The guns were a product made in quantity by humans.

Would it detract , enhance or not make any change to the value ?

It won’t affect the value of a Parker at all, regardless of grade or condition.
