milt the old gun looks ok...nothing like having gun in hand though...most of the better name guns will still close tight and the barrels with pitts if not to deep are usally ok to shoot...this one appears to be ok cant see the bores but all these old 10s usally run around 500.00 dollars.... i would take a chance on it if i wanted it...there are 3 10 gas on gunbroker right now that are worth looking at right now all in the 500.00 range and they are parkers... good luck to you... charlie

Milton,

The fellow selling this gun is calling it a wall hanger. I would take his word for it. However, that does not mean that I wouldn't shoot it.

Quote from seller's listing:

we don’t recommend shooting this firearm until you have a certified gunsmith check this firearm out.

That remains the best advice and approach to take with any of these "wall hangers".

Cheers,
Jack

Please see my thread on "Discussion of other doubles" as I have a 32" barreled Baker hammer Ithaca all numbers matching- and the bores are like mirrors- I kid you not- 32" F&F 5 lbs. 2 oz. barrel weight- all mechanics good, amd cleaning it up and will have it up for sale soon on the PGCA- what a great Turkey gun with RST loads or your own' Home rolled one"--
