Here is Hobbs sporting some kevlar boots that came fron Dunn’s if I remember correctly. They were expensive, and if he got out of my sight long enough, he would pull the velcro strap with his teeth, and jettison a boot. I went right back to plastic and duct tape!

I just grabbed a pair like that, I plan to wrap vet wrap up along the base to about the elbow, hopefully these work!

Alot of dog people in the shorthair world who also work their dogs in harsh conditions say they look for a dog with black pads. Supposedly tougher than white. All of our shorthairs have had black pads and we've never had any issues at all. But of course, we aren't in what would be considered harsh conditions geographically so, take it fwiw.

I make my own with motorcycle inner tubes and they work pretty darn good
