Interesting....you see some early hammerless guns WITH fishtail levers, and see some later hammer guns WITHOUT fishtail levers. In the collective opinion, are top lever configurations often reflected in build letters?

From what I’ve read and heard I would say a request to supply a gun either with or without a fishtail lever would not be common.

Chuck would be the Answer Man on this one.
