Tim,
Welcome to the forum. If you take some good photos of the gun from all angles and then some close ups of the front of the barrel by the front sight, receiver, hammers, buttplate, the water table (bottom of the barrels under the chambers after the gun is taken apart) and the watertable which is the flat part of the top of the receiver without the barrels so we can see the markings it will tell our experts more about the gun than you can shake a stick at. How are the inside of the barrels? Are they rusty and pitted or are they bright and shiny? Can you find out the gauge by dropping shell down the chambers (without closing the gun of course for safety) If a 12 gauge shell is a little small it is most likely a 10 gauge gun. By all means if you are not a member of the PGCA I would join. As I recall it costs $40.00 to join and then another $40.00 for a factory letter which will normally tell you when the gun was manufactured, what configuration as far as gauge, barrel length and any special options if any. It will also most likely tell you what person or company bought the gun from Parker Brothers. If we can be of any assistance on the forum please don't hesitate to ask. All of us are interested in a new gun even if it is your new gun. Dennis |

So it does not "look good" that it's an authentic parker?
I will gladly join the group, anyone have the links to do so? Or would you guys like to see some pictures first before I spend the money? |

The serial number not showing up in 'the book' means nothing. There are hundreds of missing numbers, if not thousands.
