Default Is it Heritable?

I think I have my father's disease.

When my father passed away he had over 500 long rifles and 150 hand guns...and the ability to hand reload every one of them. He believed that guns were the only thing of value...he was a crazy doctor but God love em! My mother made out pretty well at his estate sale

I love these old double guns and I'm pretty certain I'm afflicted. Is there a cure?

Oh...and misery LOVES company. I'm in good company with this group. Thanks all for the years of advice!!

Have you tried hammer guns yet??, that is my new affliction.
Too many guns, too many setters(4), too many guitars(4)--and never enough time.
I would like to be down to 4 shotguns( I have 9 just in 16 ga), 2 dogs, and 2 guitars.
I dont think there is a cure, but maybe it will go into remission for a while--thats why I stayed out of the gun tent at Hausmanns last week.

He loved the wildcat cartridges but was more fond of Winchester lever actions...he had about every make of Winchester there was. I don't have a list but just a few photos of his gun room. My mother had never been in his gun room and she cried when she saw how many guns he had.

Harold I just got my first lifter last week. 10 bore Parker and it's sweet. I get the attraction now.

Damn Shawn, your dad did'nt need a cure as much as he should have received an attaboy from all of us.

That gets me to thinking, which at times could be dangerous, but if some of the owners of these guns could see our collections they would shake their heads in disbelief. 100 or so years ago your average man might own one, two or maybe even three guns. What would he say when he sees one of us with a dozen or more guns? In my case, and most of my friends, many more than that.

My cousin and I both have the disease, but no one else in our family does. Not sure where it came from.
