Cool Hello! Just got my first Parker!

Hey guys,
I've been a member of 16ga.com for quite a few years now and have been a Browning collector a few years longer than that. I've always appreciated Parker Brothers shotguns but until a few days ago never searched one out for purchasing. The following tale of my newly purchased Parker is quite interesting and I'd like to post it under general discussion. I won't post the story of the find until I've got a few replies here. I don't want to step on any toes, I've always believed in proper introductions so hopefully I'm doing that now.
I will add one note though.
I've owned several LC Smiths in the last few years and though they were excellent guns, I traded them for other things. I've missed them this past bird season, wishing I'd kept them.
But that feeling has completely past now. In every way.

Hi Danny, and Welcome!

We're glad you fessed up about the fact that you don't care any more that you dumped those Elsies. And we're glad you recognize the superior qualities of the Parker Gun!

Please tell us the story about your acquiring your first Parker.

Hi Dean,
Well....dump is a little harsh..I actually traded them for a completely restored and custom stocked 1936 JP Sauer Ejector 16ga sxs. However, I hesitated very little. Two trips to my 40 mile distant gunship in the same day... I only hesitated long enough to make the drive

I'll post the Parker tale later tonite. Right now the wife and I are going to relax and catch a movie.

Ps. Don't ever tell her about the Parker. Or the Sauer. Or....

Danny
Maybe you should join the PGCA (which has material and immeasurable benefits) and write a short article about you acquisition for our quarterly magazine- Parker Pages.
I would be happy to lead you through the process and Dean Romig can help more than I.

Mike,
Thankfully I'm still under the radar....

I've been swamped with projects with my construction business and as such I just haven't any time to post much. I've been reading plenty around here though.

It's a regular browse before bed!
