Default Restored Hammer Gun

Saved from the mantle place and ready for another 100 years of service. Just a nice old P grade, well worth bringing back to its former glory.

An attractive restoration from a distance. Can we see some closeups of the engraved areas?

As Eric stated...Very nice colors. But maybe its the lighting the wood looks a bit to red for my liking

Here are a few closer pics. The engraving is crisp, but not very deep.

Great work Brad, who wouldn't be proud to own that gun? The colors are very good. How about the grip and butt plate? Any work done on those? Were they faded?

Dave, the gutta percha was light tan. The gun was about a 10% gun. Metal was burnished bright, not polished. The barrels were cold blued. The wood was much worse than yours, I had to run it 3 times. The stock was replaced a long time ago. Whoever inletted it knew what they were doing, but the did not have a clue how to shape it. No borders or shield. I am really anxious to shoot it,
